It also uses two AA batteries for it to work. Batteries not included. It has a slot for an sd card. Best sd card recommended to be used with this digital camera should be a 512mb sd card. I know by experience. I used it before. This is a great digital camera. It also has digital lcd screen for you to be able to see what you are taking a picture of.
