sorry for the late response girls. It both straightens and curls. The outer ends are rounded (if that makes any sense) So if you are using it to curl, It makes nice soft curls.

I got this from HSN. I can't remember the heat settings. They are marked 1-20. I believe the lowest setting is 350 degrees. I'm having trouble getting more pics to load.
