This auction is for eight 1972-'73 Los Angeles Sharks Cards.
These cards belong to the team set which were sold at the arena itself and each card was not numbered but were in alphabetical order the set was 19 cards in total also this is the only known team set to have ever been made.

Each card is in Nrmt to Ex-Mt condition and almost all are slightly off-centered as well as.

Special note :

The Los Angeles Sharks were part of the WHA ( World Hockey Association 1971-'79 ) and belonged to a very short list of leagues to compete with the NHL.
The first being the PCHL ( Pacific Canadian Hockey League 1912-'24 ) and second the WCHL ( Western Canadian Hockey League 1921-'26 )and the third WHA.
Also two more history fact the collapse of the WHA in '79 gave the NHL the following 4 teams in 1979-1980 season

- Alberta Oilers / Edmonton Oilers
- Winnipeg Jets
- Quebec Nordiques
- New England Whalers ( moved and renamed the Hartford Whalers )

and the Oilers are the only WHA team who have never been relocated or renamed unlike the other three.
