Description

The listing, BURIED TREASURE You Can Find! has ended.

ISBN 0915920824 A PB book about finding buried treasure allover the world, . Thousands listed in all 50 states and learn the use of a modern metal detector or MD'ing as it's called . Many list things on Listia found by metal detectors! I own 2 of these and have found significant coinage, old kitchenware and other unknowns. It's quite fun if the weather is cooler than FLORIDA! I understand beaches are quite a good place in the coastline of several states, finds include incredible jewelry. OF course the book also tells of rules and laws one must follow and the correct way to"find" and rebury your dig. Getting permission is also important in many places, but not all. 365 pages which include shipwrecks and other national losses. Old ghost towns and locations, it's a great book! Pretty much in new condition altho I did read it. Excellent gift to go with a new Metal Detector!

Yeah I have a ton of books on my website because I have trouble seeing so I usually only read on my Kindle, so I'm selling all my regular books. However, this title really peaked my interest so I want to read it (don't worry I also have reading glasses lol). I recently moved less than 60 miles from the ocean since becoming disabled and I was considering getting a metal detector just for something to do when I go to the beach. I live in North Carolina where I know there were lots of pirates and even more shipwrecks. I remember being told in school that we were known as the graveyard of the Atlantic. Although, the beaches that are 58 miles from my house are currently known as the shark bite capital of 2015 :( No matter I can't swim in the ocean anyway so I just walk up and down the shore when I feel able, and I think this book would make such a interesting find. So hopefully I'll win but I've got a lot of competition out there. But like you I agree books are treasures in and of themselves. I love reading anything I can get my hands on and this book really caught my eye. Thank you for spending it on here and good luck with your auction!

keywestgirl in North Carolina? The Ivory coast of FL is a find too, esp if you underwater MD. I have a friend off Ft Lauderdale who constantly finds PRIME jewelry and watches off the shore. She wears a wet suit too. I like MD'ing around old schools, find old coins, silver etc. Another is playgrounds and volleyball sand courts,....and the beach ones, after a play. Good luck! tx for writing!

You're called it that you were a little off BobCollins, I just bid 11,000 and it wasn't enough. This person is going to get way more than 8000. They are going to get their own treasure just from selling the book lol

Key West is one of my favorite locations! I actually created this name in 2004 right after we went for a week and it just stuck. The goal was to keep working in Louisville Kentucky and retire in Key West. However multiple sclerosis had other ideas for me. So at the ripe old age of 39 I have stopped working and now I live near my family in southeastern North Carolina. So I'm close to Myrtle Beach Murriell's Inlet, all of the North Carolina beaches near South Carolina known as the Crystal Coast (where they last 4 shark attacks have happened in the last couple of weeks) and I'm a couple hours away from the Outer Banks. So yes I've been to Fort Lauderdale and Key West but I live in North Carolina LOL. I also have family and land in the mountains of North Carolina in very sparse rural areas, so there may be some civil war memorabilia up there as well or possibly some Native American items, my great-grandmother was a Cherokee medicine woman. So many possibilities. Nice to meet you great day!
