It is for 25 seeds of the Heirloom American Purple Top Rutabaga it has been around since the 1920s.Will produce huge yellow roots 4-6" in diameter in a globe type shape with purple shoulders. The flesh is yellow, sweet and finely grained and turns orange when cooked. Rutabaga do best in cool weather and grow best in well-worked, well-drained soil with organic matter. Add compost to planting beds in advance of sowing. Remove lumps and rocks which could cause roots to split or become malformed.Rutabagas prefer a soil pH of 5.5 to 6.5.
