Description

The listing, 1888 Handkerchief Benjamin Harrison "Protection To American Labor And American Industries" has ended.

*Poor Condition* I just can not bring myself to throw away such an old piece of memorabilia. This is a handkerchief made in 1988. It feels like it is silk.

I believe this is a promotional item from Benjamin Harrison's run for the presidency.

Cornell University has an image of one in "better" condition on file. If you google the title of this auction you may find more information about it.

I as I have mentioned it is in poor condition. It is not "eaten" but the material for this 123 year old is frail. The colors have faded and bled.

not 1988 b8t 1888. too bad you didn't have information to go with it you could have got a lot for it at a auction where you get money bid on it. Some history buff would have loved it

Could it be older then that as it has 32 stars as there was 32 stars in 1858 and the president was James Buccanan. In 1896 william McKinley was president and there was 45 stars. If you go by the number of stars it would be older

The title gives the correct date of 1888, the description does have a date error. I know that I could have auctioned for money but I wanted some points and this is one of those things I've had around for a long time. It is a nice piece of history.I mentioned Cornell University because it has the most amount of information that I found. A history buff of this era would have much more. Wave the red...
