Pro 91 is a good little hand held scanner , I bought mine at the local Radio Shack store in 1999 for $ 170.00 USD.

It runs on AC/DC batteries are in it as you can see the frequency numbers on front to show it's on and working. It also runs on AC power and yes, i have a cord that works. It is NOT the original that came with the unit. But, it works just fine.

Ok bidders, i just posted the video using the scanner up on you tube. It's now 5 minutes to 9 my time and it probaly going to take several minutes to post so you can start checking in 30 to 60 mins. I don't know the link yet. I have never done this before aside from just posting videos of my girls. But the tags are scanner, Listia, peek. Digital versus analog is just the frequency in which communication is made. They have switched to analog here in my county. Do you know if this would pick up anything considering that fact? I'm wondering how far the signal reaches and also if it works strictly in areas where they still use digital scanners. I'll have to find out if there are any still in use in neighboring counties. This is a digital scanner, to answer the question asked by jwo1974. I only know the answer to that because I used to work customer service for Radio Shack. I hope that helps. Will be watching. is this the scanner that i would need a license to use? i think that is a HAM radio that needs the license, but i am not positive. i wouldnt be doing any talking, just listening but i like to know all legalities. thanks for any info you can divulge, and for such an awesome auction fanned and watching.

Yes, it's a HAM RADIO you need a license for. Definately not this one as this is a one way radio. You need a license for a TWO WAY radio because you would be talking on the airwaves which are governed by the FCC. Because this radio only allows you to listen, you can not broadcast over the airwaves. You are safe my friend. And it is LEGAL to own and listen to a scanner.

sweet thanks for the informative, and quick answer to my question, my early bird friend...lol. hey would you happen to know if there is any reason that i would be denied the license for the ham radio....like do the not give the license to non-american born people, or a felon, or a person with bad credit (none of which i am a status of but just wondering). well i am awake now so i am watching and bidding on this great auction.
