Description

The listing, OLD AND PETTY DISH has ended.

I have had this dish for several years and it is in the same condition I got it. I don't know anything about it. I was using it for a little candy dish but I have a new one now so this one is up for a new home :) As you can see it has the fine cracking look. (I forgot the word for that is) It is still in strong condition. In pic 4 I took a pic of the tiny chip in it and in pic 5 I took a pic of where the shine has worn off the edges a little over the years. The flowers on it are just cute and go so well with the aging of this piece.

Hi :) Inside the globe it say's Alfred Meakin, the ribbon above say's SPRAY, Under the globe say's England with a 1 underneath, then there is a 29 pressed in and a randomly placed #7 . Now what all that means, is beyond me :) Someone said I should take it off and list it on Ebay cause Meakin is worth money. Idk. It already had a bid so I couldn't if I wanted. I took pics of what the edges looked like. I forgot what the word is for the tiny crackling look is from aging, but I think it just adds a lot of character :) Hope this helps! Thank you for your interest and I fanned you back! Have a great day!

I believe the stamp on the back of the plate is that of c.1875-1897. Note the addition of "England" from 1891. According to a website named Alfred Meakin (Tunstall) (Ltd)
