If you keep growing that plant, you may have to bring your shovel IF I win it and plant it for me. I don't have an extra large shovel.....do have a big scoop but it won't dig in my yard, thanks to heavy weeds, clay, rocks, broken glass, roots--big ones everywhere! My latest flower beds are where a house used to be and they must have just buried the house, bricks, windows, and all!!!!

LOL.. I hate to dig in ground like that. I swear a place where I use to live onn the side of the ridge; I told everyone I grew ROCKS because every year when I would work my flower bed, I would get new rocks out of it...I must have had rock seed in the dirt there...LOL

You never know...Some people may back out and bid no more..I hope not..My mother of this off spring is turning yellowish brown and beginning to go dormant...I will be pulling it out for winter storage soon...A lot of rain here in Tennessee too..Had to bring in some of my plants due to so much rain and then "TOO HOT" sunshine..

You do have more started, don't you? If not, get that load off your back and get busy getting more started. I think we all need two so the one won't be lonely.

The mother bulb has only put off three baby bulbs. This is the 3rd one and probably the last until next year. The last one went in auction as a GIN. This is the 2nd I have listed. The only way to start these are from the bulbs.

Sounds like this race may get hot before the end! And, no, your fanning did not cool us down. Heat index has been around 110 with humidity you can't walk through. At least the humidity is now this week, so we can walk! And just what I need, another stinking plant!!!!!

LMAO...I talked with the lady today and her voo doo lily has bloomed and it is 7 years old. It reached a height of 7' and the bloom was about 3 feet tall itself..She had a five gallon bucket full of bulbs like this one selling for 10 dollars each..Each plant had to be at the least 24" high. She moved her plant near the front door of her home and it does have a fould smell...I am hoping she will visit and bring me some cuttings from her Japanese Maple which I will try to start..TTYL.

A lady here in the area says that her plant was 6 foot tall and she had it now maybe 5 years. It bloomed last year. :) I guess I am impatient...Then it stinks so bad in bloom that it has to go outside..But it will thrive indoors too...I like houseplants and tropical and cacti are my favorite..I can not have an outdoor garden where I live

I don't know why it is called so many names...It's AKA "corpse flower" because it smells like decomposing rotting flesh, AKA "elephant yam" because it is such a large corm/bulm and looks like a yam inside...many wonders about it in general...WHO KNOWS ?? LOL

I just took my voo doo lily out of the soil to start it's drying process...Since it turned yellow it is going to have to dry up and then I place it in a sealed brown bag inside a gallon zip lock and place it in the fridge just to pull it out in a few months to start growing again....This one in auction is still green and growing....Hope it makes the new owner happy...
