The listing, 7/8 inch bamboo plugs: Natural earrings has ended.

These 7/8 inch bamboo plugs (the largest in the photo) take over 6 years to grow to this size so I will not be producing very many of them. They are sanded and smoothed. Because these are handmade there may be small impurities such as nicks or scratches. There may also be differences between each pair in a set, but not enough to cause any problems. They are plain so they can be decorated with ink.

For those who are unfamiliar with natural bamboo tunnels and plugs, they are very rarely perfectly round due to the growth of the bamboo. They should only be used in well-gauged ears.

Fanned and watching!! What ink is safe to use on them? If you wanted to decorate them, and no I don't know much about these, but I like the creativeness of them:-) by any chance, do you have any other gauges that arnt bamboo that are 7/8ths?

Wood and fiber dye is all that would permanently set into it. You could also use a soldering iron and burn shapes into it.

Sorry, I don't work with any other materials for jewelry. These plugs are really just a once in a lifetime thing since I had extra large pieces of bamboo this year.

I would bid on these, but I am a size 5/8". I am a BIG fan of organic plugs and tunnels! If you ever list anything that is my size I will bid for sure!
