Offered is an original lithographed tab 1 1/2" in diameter that was distributed by AVIS RENT A CAR, likely during the 1960s.The face of the tab states in Tahitian "We Try Harder" as "Te tutava nei matou."
The reverse clarifies: "In any language We try harder. TAHITIAN" AVIS rents all makes of cars . . . features PLYMOUTH." "PRINTED IN U.S.A." with the AVIS logo.
There is slight litho wear as shown on the face and reverse. Another interesting collectible. AVIS implemented this campaign positioning itself as # 2 against competitor Hertz.
