What it is...???

Girasol is a variety of quartz that has a milky sheen almost opalescence to it, which is caused by Aluminum content in Clear Quartz. It has also been called Moon Quartz, Pearl Quartz, and Blue Opal Quartz for its milky color. Its name is derived from the Latin gyrare, "to turn" and sol for "sun". This opalized quartz is a rare and lovely form of quartz! It is a very ancient mineral found in Madagascar and dates back to at least 15th century Europe.
