This is a wonderful wooden STANDING candle display with blinking multicolor lights. This is a very sturdy piece made of heavy wood built to last. The battery compartment is metal and removable, and there is an on/off switch. There are very few hours of run time on this piece because I couldn't really find a good spot big enough for it last year and I kept moving it around the house and finally gave up and re-boxed it, lol. But if you have the space, I guarantee you will love this, it's REALLY pretty lighted up. :-)
