They are brand new but didn't come in any package. You can use them to do a craft project or color them (which I did on some other's), put a small light in them or whatever you can come up with.

cdeneigh, yes they are a pretty thick plastic. I can't squeeze it with my hands but if you wanted to cut out the bottom and put in a light or something you could with a sharp exacto knife.
