If you like suspense novels that portray a strong female lead, this is your book. The female lead is described as "a new investigator as cultivated as Sherlock Homes and as spunky as Kinsey Millhone."

According to Amazon's scale, I would put this book in the category of "good" condition. The pages are clean, no writing in the book, but the front cover is slightly worn and slightly wrinkled on bottom left near the tear on the spine. The spine of the book has about a one inch tear at the very bottom of the book, but only torn on the outside paper, so does not affect the binding. Overall, the book is in great, readable condition!
