It has a little slot off to the side that opens it, so I think it would be easy to open the back. This watch is about the size of a quarter. Read this carefully...it has no stem or band on this watch. It's vintage and needs to be cleaned inside and out, but it does tick...I heard it. That's all I know about this watch. Great hobby watch! It will make a nice expensive vintage watch to someone that knows how to fix it up.
