Huge lot of Reborn and doll making supplies. These are play dolls that can be reborned.

I purchased these from different lots of but I need to clean out to make room.

Everything is sold as is, box is really big it weighs 21 lbs. and is 19x19x18. I don't have a job so I can't give free shipping. You can pick up if you live local. acetone or fingernail polish will take off most of the marks and strip the paint then wash in baby bath soap. see all the picts. and ask questions before you bid. Do you have any paints or hair or clothing. ? Is this only for dolls and doll parts? Do you have any instructions on how these would go together. I've been wanting to do some for my own hobby. I need something therapeutic and this is so interesting to me.

This auction is only for what is in the picts. -what the listing says. I buy all of my paints and main supplies from bountiful baby. They also have an easy to learn DVD. This lot has mostly spare parts. Some heads fit with the limbs and bodies and some are just extra. These are good to reborn starter dolls for kids mostly so parents don't have to spend a few hundred on doll. This is also good to learn to start to reborn dolls. My 1st was a mistake. I used a real $60.00 reborn kit as my 1st and messed it up really bad. It was a costly mistake. Painting each part with very thin paint that looks like colored water takes around 12 hours to do and make. If you root the head 1-3 hairs at a time it will take you 6-12 extra hours.

My daughter passed away in 2011 its a long story but she was 25 and pregnant with a boy and had a two year old little girt.She wasn't sick but had acute respitory distress. They delivered her baby and she was on life support and so was he. She got the swine flu and they had to do radical things to try to help her get oxygen because the ventilators were besting her lungs apart. she live d a month and never was let to wake up. My grandson survived without many issues. They had a dad and me and his mom took turns taking care of them. I had my granddaughter a lot before my grandson was born.There dad was 30 and me and his mom thought we could raise them helping him.long story short he got on drugs his family wouldn't deal with it. He was using method totalled my daughters car and signed his parental rights to his oldest sister. So I've not got to see them in over a year. .He died last year from method use it slowly damaged his organs. I just thought something like that I'd like. I've also got a lot of old souvenir dolls as well I want to learn to restring them and fix their eyes and repurpose them. Those probably would be cheaper. I was still wanting to do a few reborn.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I started reborning when I lost my 1st baby (miscarried) and couldn't let go. I purchased a doll but I thought I could make my own even better. For me making dolls was better for my healing knowing my reborns will always be loved and live on. I've been reborning for years and my dolls are all over the world...America, canada, Frace, Germany.... My baby will live on through my dolls and how he or she may have looked. Reborning is a lot of fun but it cost around 600.00 to get started with all of the supplies you need. That includes a 100.00 small counter top oven from walmart for 100.00 that you would need for the heat set paints. Used ovens don't work well because then the doll parts smell like old food. You also can NOT use the oven after the doll parts have been baked in it because the chemicals from the doll parts can leak in the food. Best of luck. I always love to see new people reborning and making dolls:)

Do you buy the heads with holes or use some kind of needles to do the hair?

yes to root a head you will need to warm it in like a toaster oven 265 for up to 8 min. You can also microwave a sock with rice in and put it in the head to keep the head warm. If the head is warm it gets soft until it cools again and you can root it easy. You will need special rooting needles and a rooting tool. The lower the needle size the larger it is and easier to root but it does make the holes bigger because it grabs more hair when it roots. 36 barbed is a good one. 40 barbed is finer Bountiful Baby is the cheapest place to buy them and they have sales all the time.

I have to keep it as a lot but if you buy it and only want a few sent I could do that also and donate the left overs you don't want. The shipping would be in a smaller box and cost much less to ship if you want just a few of them.
