Well, the tie is is but the ascot is from a smoking household until 1986 when cigarettes gave my mother lung cancer. So maybe: "adopted to a smoke-free home" 30 years ago?

What length and width are the tie?

The tie is 3 inches at the widest and made of polyester. I do not have exact length but is identical to all others I have had.
