I paid $20.00 on sale for this item. it's activated by the cats weight &movements on the mat. it's a silent toy so for the mommies&daddies with cats that love to play at night, this is a quiet toy.
this is BRAND NEW NEVER USED! !!however I did carefully remove it from the packaging to make sure the mat worked &the battery was good. one of the TWO MATS I have available needed a battery.I write notes on each mats' packaging so I could tell which was which mat.
