Kaiser Permanente puts it out and it is 3 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide with a half an inch tall area for you to store several halves of the pills. It closes securely when finished. there is a v shape groove where you place the pill then you close the entire lid and it very cleanly, without fail, cuts your pill in half and thirds as well, however small you need it cut, this will do the job for you. It is made of very hard and durable plastic with a rubber like blue padded top. The Blade is Extremely Sharp, This is NOT A TOY! Not for small children to handle or execute on their own. This will easily slice little fingers that go exploring in its inner contents. You will never find a better pill cutter out there. TOP OF ITS CLASS!
