Description

The listing, (3) Beautiful 50's - 60's Bradley Boudoir dolls has ended.

3 Beautiful vintage Bradley Boudoir dolls in good condition may need a slight touch-up. Their faces dresses and hair all in good condition. I was told these were made in 50's to 60's. There is a crack in on one foot stand (green doll) best if you use a silicone so I did tape for a temp fix, it doesn't affect her she stands see last pic. Foam with nylon over wire body. Hand painted cloth face. Yellow, She is approximately 14” tall, on plastic base, there is a tag mark on dress bottom Pic 9 of base marked “Made In Korea”. The other two are approx. 12 1/2- 13" tall. People call these dolls by many different names including Boudoir dolls, Southern Belle dolls, big eyed dolls & Victorian dolls. The diversity of names begins to make sense when you discover that Bradley manufactured these dolls from 1954 until 1984 when the company was bought by Hasbro who, it would appear, discontinued the line. The fact that these dolls were manufactured for 30 years is noteworthy, a friend said "Wow! These dolls (the ones shown) seem NEW to me! I remember the same type of doll sold in novelty stores all over during the 1950's and 60's. As a small child, I thought they were dazzlingly beautiful! They were boudoir dolls. My mother broke down and got me one, which I adored. The clothing was not removeable. Today I find them selling anywhere from $10-$75 each. Would add to anyone's collection or make a great gift. I provide free shipping to US Residents with a Listia Verified address. I ship to United States only sorry no Apo/Fpo addresses. Will ship within the 7 days. I do my best to describe each item. I will point out any flaws it may have. Sometimes I may miss something. It is not intentional. So please ask questions if you have any? I will be happy to answer them. No Buyer’s Remorse. Sorry No refunds, no returns. These dolls will be packaged safely shipped priority and insured.
Thank you & Good Luck~

They do sell quite well and for a tidy sum. I had a large one and used her as a lamp shade when I was a child. Had a couple of the smaller ones like these as well. Loved them!

I have recently opened a box of dolls from my late grandmother's attic. These dolls were mine as a child and wrapped, boxed and stored in the early 70s. Inside I found some of these Bradley Dolls. Bradley Dolls - Division of Bradley Import Co. Founded in 1954. I also have a few dolls that I haven't found exact duplicates online! (yet) Cambell's Soup "Girl", The Original Jolly Green Giant Doll and more. Thanks for listing these. Brought back childhood memories from the 60s!!
