Bless You Both! The world is a much better place because firefighters exist..I was often awaken to the sound of the "emergency" radio and the bang of the door..I don't think people realize how truly awesome firefighters are...Thank You Both for your Service! <3

Thank you, not many people realize how dangerous that profession is. I know yrs ago he had a grease fire in his house, due to some of the pie that spilled out while cooking in the oven, that my nanny was making. The firefighters were able to put it out. The only thing that didn't survive was 1 pie, so they took the other unburnt pie back to the station & ate it. Lol.

Thank You for sharing such a heart-warming story with a yummy ending! Not only do these brave men & women fight fires but they help at accidents, contribute to education and have been known to provide rides and memories to sick children. Hope your nanny is still making pies!

You're welcome, & yes they do always have heroic & heartwarming stories, & some are funny too. Plus, my grandpa served in the Air Force before he was a firefighter chief. My nanny still makes pies till this day, & I'm the only grand child she gave her secret pie recipe to.
