I looked up shoe size conversions and it said that a 38 in Italian is a size 6.5 in American size...

i measured the calf on the boot it is....14..1/2 they also go to the knee 17 inches from top to bottom,i hope this help's you" good luck"

this is alls I know every single chart I have found says what I said that a size 38 in european/Italian is a size 7.5 in womens shoes sizes for the US here is yet another chart.

it is rare to find the half sizes but not impossible,so a size 7.5 us is a 38 for a true 8 it would have to be a 38.5 or go to the next larger size of a 39 which is definately an 8 or 8.5 go by this chart which is a totally different chart and once again count over from left to right to find the corresponding sizes for each country. so if you are possitive these will fit an 8 foot then if I win them and they dont fit me you would have no problem giving a refund for them then?because I am really liking these boots but the charts I have found and read and have always gone by say they wont fit me?

your wrong hon" france is an 7 1/2 !!! these are italian!!! they fit an 8 period. ive had several people try them on over this debate" these are "italian" anyone can look at other shoe conversions there are some that are different" but not in this case,anywho good luck to everyone!! thanks for bidding!!!

I had to do some more research - there's been so much debate over the size of these, and everywhere you go you find conflicting info so I decided to go the ALDO site - a 38 is an 8 according to what I've found - AND Aldo states that they do not offer half sizes - if you need a 1/2 size they encourage you to order the next size up because they don't have them. http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/women/special-sizes

it is a 7 1/2 according to this and another chart I found, but an 8 is 9 3/4, not 10 1/4. The person I'm bidding for needs an 8 and I'm the high bidder, so they're probably not going to fit her

I just did the conversion for the inches also and a size 6 in womens is a 9 and 5/8 inches long a size 8 would be 10 and 1/8 hope this helps dont want alot of people bidding or not bidding because of the size differences, the Italian sizing is called European sizing as they use the same numbers for men or womens shoes/boots if anybody wants to check for themselves here is the link to a great conversion chart that has everything you need to know http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html
