This auction is for an UNCIRCULATED 1926 SILVER OREGON TRAIL MEMORIAL HALF DOLLAR.
IT IS A :
VERY HIGH DOLLAR,
VERY HIGH RELIEF,
VERY LOW MINTAGE,
UNCIRCULATED COIN.
This coin was minted in Philadelphia to begin 1926 and only 47,955 were minted at that time. The minting was moved to San Francisco to complete the years mintage.
The scans above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.
I never clean or alter coins in any way, and do my best to allow you to see every detail and/or every blemish that the coins I list have, so that you can make an informed and confident bid.

I just want you to know beforehand that this will be sent the next available day after auction end, but I have no control over it after I do drop it off.

it definitely is. it was in a plastic bag when I received it which will never keep it from picking up tones. plus its age will easily help that. of all the pictures that I have seen of it while looking for it and trying to get more info afterwards, this is not the worst I have seen, and only have seen 1 that still looks silver, but that one was too far out of my price range.

there are so many different things going on with this coin, especially in the colors it is picking up. it is not the toning that makes this coin though, the very high relief and being uncirculated will just keep this coin in the high dollar range.
If you do that, sending this out for a grade will slow down the toning by sealing it into a slab. and with all coins, having it graded will always give it a set and definite price.

this one really is. I tried to put into the description everything about it and ended up better than 1000 characters over what was allowed and by the time I got it cut down, it was no longer worth it. everyone should look this coin up and get the info on it as well as the price. good luck
