The listing, Wow!! 2 different WWII Uniform Shoulder Patches!!!! has ended.
I won these patches here on Listia a year ago, and never did put them on my jacket. I'm going to attempt to pass them off to someone who will actually use them, or who collects WWII items.
When they were originally listed the description was that the "shield shaped patch that shows a large key in the center was from the collection of a Major on Gen. Patton's staff. It is olive and black and a very nice headquarters patch! I was told that this was a rather rare patch!!" The back of this patch looks unused and is a white background.
The other patch is in the shape of a shield and it is olive with a black boarder and 5 spearpoints. I was told that this patch from WWII is "from the collection of a local decorated veteran who was on General Patton's staff." The back of this patch shows it was definitely used by a soldier and is the standard olive background.
Nice addition to your WWII collection and something you can hold that was actually there!
I cannot guarantee that both of these patches actually saw service in WWII, just passing on what I was told, but the spearpoint patch was definitely worn by someone in the military.
Thanks for looking at my auction and Have fun Bidding!!!
