It is a really good movie! You watch the family as it grows. Later on it changes again as the kids become young adults and choose mates of their own. Through it all the parents struggle to blend in with American society while still
maintaining their Indian culture and heritage.

Kal Penn is the actor from the "Harold and Kumar" movies. He is a very talented and accomplished actor.

The ratings for this movie were all very high. Roger Ebert gave it a 3.5 out of 4. The Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 87% rating. Metacritic rated the movie at 82% and the IMDb gave it a 7.6 out of 10.
