Up for grabs is a gorgeous vintage necklace by Vendome. Vendome, which operated from 1944 to 1979, was actually a division of the Coro jewelry company which was founded in the early 1900s. Vendome made higher end costume jewelry than Coro. This necklace dates to the 1950s or 60s.

This necklace is indeed higher end, with a nice heavy weight to it. It has silver and bronze faceted crystals and very real-looking fresh water pearl beads. What I really love about this necklace is the clasp. On each end there is a leaf and a flower hook is attached to one of the leaves. That flower is actually the clasp and it hooks over the the smaller chain. Very cool! If you have long hair, you will want to wear it up to show off this awesome clasp! The necklace is in very good condition--there is some tarnish on the brass cap beads that are on some of the pearls, and a couple of the pearls have small areas where the finish has come off. Very, very minor. The length is 12.5 inches.
