Description

The listing, Stamped 14k Emerald-Out of This World Beautiful-GP Ring has ended.

This is another stamped 14k ring. It hasn't ever actually been tested, but like the others, probably isn't real gold. But, it is beautiful and the GP is thick enough to give it a true gold color. This ring and one more are the only 2 that I purchased, out of the 40 or so, that are like that. The others could be put next to real 14k and you could see that their color was off. This one looks real but it is from the same seller who sold me 40 or so that were also supposed to be the real deal and weren't.
It's beautifully done. The setting, the man-made stones and the flawless craftmanship make it an exquisite ring. The emeralds are a very light green and the clear cz's just sparkle! It's a size 7 and the ring part is quite wide.
Hope you can see from the picts how nice it is and I know you'll agree on this should you win this auction.

Have fun bidding!

Just to give you some history on these rings, about 5 years a go I had asmall shop and wanted to buy and resell real 10k & 14k rings. Spent along time looking on the 'big' auction site for sellers and after doing what I thought was good researching, I found a seller with beautiful rings, (in China) certfied to be real 14k gold & set with beautiful lab created stones. I wasn't a gemologist but felt I was smart enough to know real from fake and had purchsed some 40 hallmarked 14k rings from him over a month or so...well they were very nice rings, but not real solid gold, just GP'd. Nice but couldn't put 'em in my shop...so sat on 'em, gave a few to friends etc.and finally after joinng Listia getting some pay back by listing them here. This ring, even with being just old plated will blow you away. Omg if it was real...I'd re-size it and never take it off. Def. worth bidding on. And makes me happy to find homes for them too. Thanks for your comment and u r sooo fanned!

just to be clear this is for a 14k gold plated ring?

That is what I believe it to be. All of the rings I purchased were sold as 14K solid gold w/lb created stones. The hallmark is very clear-14K. When I bought them they were listed as solid gold rings. When they finally arrived, the color of the gold wasn't right tho-looked too metalic, too something, so I took sev. 5-6 into a jeweler to be chk'd out. This was not one of them. What I was told was that they were all plated gold not solid and that the plating was quite thick but still only plated. I ish now that I had chk'd it out, but after having that many come back as basically fake, I was more interested in getting a refund than having all of them looked at. To answer your question as direct as I can-I'm pretty confident that i's only plated but I have no idea whether it's 14k, 18k, 10k or what. All I know for sure is the ones I took in came back as GP'd. Out of 6 chk'd, all sixweren't solid gold and with that in mind, I had to fig. none were solid, including this one. Hope that helps. This one and the other one I've listed apparently have thick plating, because whenplaced next to a olid 14k piece, the tone of the gold is very simular! 14k? I was so naive I didn't think a seller on ebay would sell fakery, but when I last chk'd the seller wa still selling...

Did you ever contact ebay. They are very strick now. Even though you did this some years ago maybe you can get this China seller off. Worth a try. The buyers now seem to have alot of pull in causing them to do something about a fraudulant seller. Good luck.

I shouldn't have given up, but tried to get some refunds back. It was like talking to a wall. Ebay knows-so does PayPal. I'm just a lot wiser now and rarely even use ebay. I may take your advice-Thanks

if it's stamped, there's a chance it's 14k vermeil, which looks darker than solid 14k, since it's usually over silver or pot metal and eventually rubbs/wears off.
