Description

The listing, Vintage German fisherman's dagger knife w/sheath has ended.

The blade is marked with a fist holding three arrows and says solingen germany stainless, sheath marked made in Germany. It has a spine up the middle. One side of the blade is serrated and shows use and wear damage, the other side is straight edged but shows no signs of sharpening or damage / use that I can tell? The tip is slightly bent but could probably be straightened out since it is thin. The sheath is plastic and the blade is pointy, the guard looks like aluminum and the handle made of laminated wood. The handle has been coated with a gloppy substance, zoom in on all the pictures, but it is dry. It must have been wet at one point and varnish was used to repair the surface. This particular brand knife is over fifty years old. It may be a fisherman's knife or used for something else I don't know. Points are going up all the time. Has a hole in the handle for tying a lanyard cord to keep from losing it and four holes in the sheath to allow the sheath to be tied to something as well on top and bottom and it has belt slots in the sheath but no retaining strap.

Original
Yes it does appear to be a fillet knife. Which are also used for skinning, I have never seen this style before, this is what has interested in this.

Yes very old and unusual. The thin blade makes me think it is for filleting and the ridges on one side for scaling, but I am not a fish eater so I don't know for sure.

Would you consider 310,000 for it?
