The listing, Jaycee Dugard's memoir 'A Stolen Life' excellent condition for 3rd reader to get FREE, even postage! has ended.
After a primetime interview with Diane Sawyer, Jaycee Dugard's memoir "A Stolen Life" shot to the No. 1 bestseller spot on Amazon. Dugard, who spent an astonishing 18 years in captivity after being kidnapped by convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido, came across as centered and thoughtful during the interview.
Dugard was 11 years old when she was kidnapped in 1991 by Garrido and his wife Nancy and was kept a secret prisoner in their backyard until she was found in 2009. During that time, she lived in makeshift shelters; was bound and raped; and gave birth in the backyard to two daughters.
Garrido was convicted of rape and kidnapping in the late 1970s, and was on parole when he kidnapped Dugard. Officials had dozens of opportunities to discover Dugard but had failed. Dugard and her family received a $20 million settlement from the state after filing a claim that said authorities failed to properly supervise Garrido.
I won this book from the original owner on Listia, and I too am now passing it on. It appears to me to still be in excellent condition, other than a slight crease on the front jacket. All pages and binding are excellent-perfect condition. So thanks to Listia for making the opportunity available to read this moving story without paying the $24.99 cover price!
And you will even be able to have it shipped to you for FREE!
