The listing, 14K Yellow Gold Crucifix Necklace has ended.

I received this, as a gift, about 14 years ago. It is a 14K yellow gold pendant that depicts Christ on the cross. The cross is 1 inch long and about 5/8 of an inch wide. It's on an 18 inch 14K yellow gold chain. Made in ITALY. I think it would make a lovely Christmas gift for a very special someone in your life.

The first photo shows off how pretty it is, when it glistens in the sunlight.
For those who are only comfortable dealing with trusted sellers, photo number 2 proves that I do have it in my possession. I did not use stock photos. What you see in the photos is what you'll get. =o)
The third photo highlights the intricate design.
Photo number 4 shows the 14K stamp on the reverse side of the pendant.
The fifth photo shows the hallmarks on the chain plaque and those on the clasp.
The sixth photo shows the ITALY stamp on the other side of the plaque.
The final photo shows the size of the pendant, relative to a US quarter.

I'm going to send it in the jewelry case it came in...but it smells a little like smoke. If the smell is too strong for you, you should be able to find a different box for it easily...or a nice velvet pouch might do the trick. I've always liked cases better myself, as they can help keep the chain from getting tangled.

ALSO, we have a dog and a cat. If you have allergies to these types of pets, you probably shouldn't bid.

You're just like me! I, too, used to have a bunch strays and they used to follow me when I walked to the store! Well, not all the way...they would stop at the edge of the field. They wouldn't follow me through the woods and into traffic. When I'd come home, they'd still be there waiting at the edge of the field to walk me home. I miss them. =( It's hard letting foster babies go...even if they're just pets. I just have one kitty now. I've had him for about 14 years now...half my life. He's my baby and he's not going anywhere.

My question is... If you stated that it's stamped 14K & ITALY, WHY are people questioning whether it's real or not??? It's not like you could stamp it yourself!!!

Everything happens for a reason, right? Maybe it just means you're supposed to save your credits for something else...like my necklace. ;o) It seems like an extreme way of making sure you have enough credits, though. =o/ Just in case it is completely random, carrying a laptop probably isn't a bad idea. Sometimes a crooked jeweler will say that it's more pure than it really is, to charge more money. That is rare though because it WILL ruin their reputation, as it's easy to test. All you have to do to find out for sure is take it to a jeweler (or someone who buys scrap gold) and have them do a non-invasive gold test. They will rub the item on a special black stone hard enough to leave an invisible deposit on the stone. Then they place a drop of a 14K-sensitive acid solution on the transfer spot. If the invisible mark changes colors, the gold is at least 14K. If it doesn't, they would test it with a 12K solution and then a 10K solution, if need be, until one finally makes the transfer line become visible. I've never had it tested, because I've never had a reason to doubt that it's real.

I'm sorry but, I do not know. I'm not a jeweler. I don't have a need for a scale that measures in grams. I hope you're not asking because you want to have it melted down for cash. =O This piece is way too special for that!
