I too have Fibro, Degenerative Bone Disease, Depression, Arthritis, Silicone Blood Poisoning, just to name a few. And no, I'm not a hypochondriac as most people want to say right off the bat. I understand you say "feeling like a train wreck". We have to laugh to keep from crying! But wanted to mention that Purple was also the color for Pancreatic Cancer. My uncle passed away from it. It is very aggressive. By the time most people find out they have it, they have 6-8 months to live. There is very little they can do for it. Just a mention for awareness.

Yes ma'am I was aware of that. I have been a Nurse for better than 30 years..I have seen just how fast pancreatic cancer spreads. My ex husband had an even more aggressive type, Myelieosarcoma. From Diagnosis to the day he passed away was 14 days. There are some extremely bad cancers out there! Thus the awareness Bracelets! Hang in there..Nothing is too strong for our God! I am sorry about your Uncle :(

Hey girlfriend, how are you? Lovely bracelet as always. Question? Is the ribbon for CF, Lupus & Fibro, lavender or is it any purples? Its funny cuz i was just thinking to myself that i couldn't remember what other illnesses the purple ribbons were associated with & then i came across your listing. Lol My kids used to make purple ribbons bracelets for Alzheimers. My grandma passed away from that so they made the bracelets to help raise money for the Alzheimers asso. I think we talked about that a long time ago. Hope your doin good. Huggies

Oh thats interesting, is that somewhat like sensory overload? Hmm maybe i'll comment on that one & see if maybe that lady might be able to tell me. Interesting! Purple/orange combo, that sounds neat! My son has a sensory issue, so im familiar with that i just didnt know it had any colors. :-) thanks for the update

Actually, it is the brain cannot process the stimuli from the senses. It causes the person to be overly emotional, taste is skewed, so most foods do not taste good, even the smell can be huge problem. It causes all kinds of difficulty. I did a search and found out quite a bit about it. It is not so much an overload as the inability to correctly process the sensations in the brain. That particular lady grabbed the GIN on it :)

I too have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, GAD, depression
"Not a hypochondriac as most ppl say off the bat" Ms Pandora1958s quote
Just because I push myself to get up, put on makeup & work (with struggles & pain) doesn't mean I'm not in horrible pain
But I'm proud of all you beautiful ladies & myself for being able to keep on keeping
And for that, I'd love to wear this gorgeous piece :)

Aww.. I hear myself in your very encouraging words. After a near Suicide attempt, God took my life, shook it out and presented me with an entirely new beginning! I still have the pain and depression, but now I know I have someone to turn to when it gets to be too much! In return he granted my hands with this ability to share and give others hope.
Not a bad trade off! I wish you comfort, strength and determination to smile in the face of what most folks would not be able to take.

Yep I'm on 3 attempts on me, now I must live 1 day at a time
Sometimes I'm too ill to go to work (as today), so if I must stay in bed, I do, if it's his desire for me to be on the move, I am
Today was just too difficult
The aches, pains, flu like symptoms
I'll just rest it out
Thank goodness for Listia & all you lovelies :-*

I eventually had to stop working in July 2011. I have been a nurse for over 30 yrs, but I could do no more. Luckily, I did well as a nurse, so I can just survive on Disability. So many others cannot.
People like to make you think you are getting a handout with Disability. I have held a job since I was 15 years old, I think I paid my share into the system as I am now almost 60..

I am so sorry you are having such a struggle. I totally understand your symptoms. I am all but a recluse these days. It just hurts too much to get ready and go out.

I wonder how many people cannot be hugged because it hurts too much?

This is wonderful. I have fibro like most people watching this but with fibro you get added bonuses usually so I also have endometriosis, TMJ,osteoarthritis bad,and a bladder disease called interstitial cystitis. With that being said could you possibly do an interstitial cystitis ribbon bracelet. It's a teal ribbon with a teal butterfly kind of like it's mascot. Thanks just curious.

You bet!! I have the teal ribbons right in front of me! I understand completely! Fibro does not come to the party alone..it brings friends :(

By the way I'm so sorry to hear about your loss up in the comment section above. You are a very strong woman and I won't say I know how it feels because I've never lost a child. I'm so very sorry that happened to you. Love and light to you my friend.

Oh girl..my heart hurts for you. I hung in for as long as I could. I think the tipping point for me was the death of my daughter, Lisa, in Feb. of 2010. I attempted suicide after I left my job and felt so hopeless. That was Jan 2012. Things are so different now tho!! My son, who is 32 decided to divorce the entire family, so I have not seen him since that same year. He is my only other natural child, so I felt like I lost them both at the same time. When I rededicated my life to Christ, I gave that issue to Him. Either Chris will come back to the fold or he will not. I just could not handle that on top of everything else. God has my back! I have had my 2nd knee replacement almost a year ago. I have Degenerative Joint Disease also.. yukka!! Getting older is not always a good time!

All you can do is take the day at a time, as you said. Tomorrows problems will be there then..LOL. Hang tough girl! You got this :)
