Old snuff pendant made from ebony wood and a twisted silver or pewter cage. It is completely attached to the chain. There are no markings but looks like the pendant parts could be silver. There is one flaw which is a nick in the wood and there is a photo that features it. Otherwise, there is some use and age related wear. There was probably once a short connecting chain for the spoon to the base. The "bottle" measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". The chain is a total of 30". This is a very unique item and besides being a collectible, might be useful for essential oils and aromatherapy.
