i do not think so, i think you can only use tracphone, there is an option to unlock the sim card but you need a password from the carrier. but i do not know.

No, Javeair, but if you have safelink from the govt., you can transfer your minutes over to this phone. Its called an "Upgrade". Hope that helps!!
