I would say around 5 cups, probably more, if you would like I could send you the measurements of the inside bowl that holds food if that will help

I got a BIG puppy he was 33 pounds at 8 months which was in Jan. and he not only can eat a lot of puppy food but he likes to eat plastic as well so that's why I am looking for a metal or glass large bowl. Thanks for answering my question.

My daughter has a St Bernard puppy, 6 months old and weighs 85 lbs. She uses bowls like this but feeds him twice a day. These are really I think for medium size dogs, mine that is using it is Scottish Terriers, 30 lbs and it works great for them, only put a couple of cups into it. It is about 7 inches by 2 or 3 inches deep

OMG... I think your daughter wins the biggest puppy contest between my daughter and yours. LOL Griffin can eat 2 quarts of dog food a day. I am starting to think that not only am I a short order cook for our pets but I own a zoo.
