This is a beautiful bright mixed colors columbine. you will receive 1/4 + tsp seeds(they are about the same size as poppies) for this auction. The flowers are big, mine this year got to 2 1/2 +" long and about 3 + " wide. Zone 4 ~ 8.
Plant Height: 18" - 30" you can pick just one color if you prefer, will be on only about 20 - 30 seeds. can also get one color about 20 -30 seeds Plantpropagation:Columbine are grown from seed. They can be directly seeded into your flower garden Sow Columbine seeds in the spring, and cover with 1/8" soil. Space seeds or seedlings 16-18" apart.If you have established plants, Columbine can also be separated by division in the spring.
Days to Germination: 8 - 15 Plants:Columbine are very easy to grow. They grow well in partial shade and well drained soil. They will do well in average soils and tolerate dry soil conditions. Add a general purpose fertilizer once or twice a season.
Columbine plants grow 15-20" tall. good in flower beds, containers, as edging, and in rock gardens.
Once your Columbine plants are established, they will grow well and bloom until frost. Being very hardy, they will likely survive the first light frosts before going dormant for the winter.
