Description

The listing, Dwarf Peach Tree Seed has ended.

This is a tester auction to see if people are interested.

I am offering one pit from one of my dwarf trees. This is a Dwarf Peach Tree. These grow about 4 to 6 feet tall. They are self pollinating so you will get fruit. They grow outdoors in zones 5 to 8. However due to their size, they make good container plants and can be brought indoors for the winters.

This was just picked off my tree when I ate a peach. So it is a fresh seed.

My seeds are fresh from the last season. Most people don't know how to get seeds started so they fail. I am willing to help if they ask. Crack the shell with out harming the seed inside. Then you don't have to wait years for the shell to rot off. Plant in a good mixture of soil and water. Make sure you leave your water out overnight so the chlorine dies off. Do not pour heavily on the soil. Lightly water so you don't damage a new seedling. It really isn't hard. It just takes care.

Thanks so much. I didn't have a clue as to what to do with it. Can this be grown in a pot inside. Very interested in this.

I would keep it outdoors on a porch if you grow it in a pot. It still needs the 4 seasons. However being in a pot it will need the protection of a porch. It will also need some plant food to fruit well.

I understand "dwarf tree", but what kind of peaches does it bear?
White or yellow flesh?...clingstone, freestone, or semi-freestone?....Hale, Pioneer, O'Henry, Indian, Crimson Lady, etc?

I have a couple of varieties. However I do not separate the peach seeds. They are all together in a ziploc. So this is not going to be an auction for a certain variety. Maybe next crop I may try that but not now.
