I absolutely love these bracelets bunny!!!!! i love even more how strong you ladies are! when i started in medicine (500 years ago) i can't even count how many docs would listen (looking bored) to soooo many women telling them about their symptoms and wanting answers to what was wrong with them and to hear those ***** docs tell them to..."take a pill, it's all in your head..." i wanted to put my foot in their ..ear!!!!!! but then (gasp) men started to have the same symptoms and wow, it suddenly had a name, a diagnosis and hey let's research this! hang tough you guys, i of all people know how it is getting not the results you wanted to hear. be strong, sending love n light ~~~~

You summed it up perfectly! it is so hard to explain.. one almost has to feel the worst flu pain for a comparison. It waxes and wanes but is never fully gone..

It took 7 years and 15 doctors and then I was researching trying to find out what was wrong with me that I had to quit work it was so bad. I told my doctor I had fibromyalgia but he didn't believe me. I finally got a new rheumatologist and she diagnosed me in 5 minutes. Eighteen years later I am on 26 meds but I can at least move and hug my new husband more. I love this it is time that the real fibromyalgia is given notice. There are so many that I don't believe really have it that get diagnosed these days. If you can live a normal life on Lyrica it can't be the real thing. F&W please fan back and make more bracelets to push the message.

I totally hear you! I cannot even take Lyrica or gabapentin. i have to use stronger meds for mine. It is a shame when a hug hurts! I will keep sharing! Too many Doctors are living in the stone age :(

Agreed I take a lot of stronger meds plus 3200 mg of Gabapentin a day. It helps with the pain somewhat but I am on the top dose of it and several other meds. I also have osteoarthritis and my orthopedist says in the next three years I will need a right shoulder replacement and both knees replaced. He hasn't checked my hips yet I am sure they will be put on the list also. I also have everyone of the fibromyalgia other problems restless leg syndrome, IBS, reflux, then I am being treated for a fast heart rate, mitral valve prolapse, and with age I have menopause, hypothyroidism and severe sleep apnea. I believe what a friend used to say. " Life is a b**** and then you die". Lol

LOL..I hear you! I have had both knees replaced, so hold off on those as long as you can.. it is tough surgery. I had one done when I was 55, the other at 59. I am now 60 and can set off airport alarms!!
Hey see.. there is an upside to everything :)
You just hang in there, I will send prayers for healing mercies for you!

Aw, I see some many friends here and feel the sisterhood/love shared by all. I, too, suffer from fibro, as well as Sjorgren's Syndrome. The pain is real. My love to you all.

The list grows! How can anyone discount this disorder as not real? We live it everyday! Thanks for the solidarity shown to and by all!

Oh and if there are any men stuttering from fibromyalgia bless your heart along with the ladies :)

Agreed! This is not just a ladies only disorder. Women do, by far, out number men, but many men suffer right along with us. They have it far worse because it is not "acceptable" for men to discuss this type of thing. Men are also more likely to medicate with alcohol.
Thanks so much for pointing this out!

Hello again Bunnyg1 I seen this listed and I just have to try for it seeing that I myself have a bad case of Fibromyalgia. This is the very first I have seen of this type of bracelet for this cause and I'm hoping that I will win? If I do I will wear it proudly. F&W&B.

I hear you! I cannot take Lyrica.. I hope you give it some time..Many people find they get some relief once they have been on it awhile. I, too, have memory issues. I am glad you were able to qualify for some additional help. Some days it feels like it is just easier not to get up and start my day, but, I find I feel worse if I give in to it. You are in my prayers along with all the others who have shared their experiences.

I'm right here with all of you ladies and sound like we need to get together on Facebook in a group or something so we all can talk about our experiences with fibromyalgia and other similar health issues we have like yourself Bunnyg1 .. Myself not only have fibromyalgia but Lupus and Addison's disease.. And like bessiedyer5 said about getting a hug from her new husband..well I completely understand because I've been married for 11 years and would give anything just for a good tight hug from him like he use to huge me before I was diagnosed with this mess and I've heard people say that fibromyalgia and lupus are similar..I say their not..anyways I just wished one thing.. I wished you had more of these bracelets and I had enough credits to get each of the ladies who commented on this auction and their experience with fibromyalgia their very own bracelet to wear for what ever reason but for myself is to spread awareness..which people are more aware of this then of other health problems like my Lupus and Addison's disease..God bless you ladies and my prayers are going out to each and everyone of ladies..

Thank- you for sharing your experience! Researchers have found many people with Fibro also have an autoimmune disorder. A friend of mine has Lupus an Fibro, just like you. I pray you find the combination of medications to give you some relief. I really was touched by your wish to let others know you understand. That is a Blessing all by itself! I am happy you felt safe enough to share your story :)

You know my situation, my friend, so I won't go into it.
btw, I've been getting into making my jewelry again and the next one I had planned to post was-guess what?? Yup, a purple Fibro bracelet!!
I post so few of my bracelets now that many will believe I'm copying you!! LOL But we both know we simply think exactly alike: "separated at birth."
Jun 13th, 2016 at 5:47:36 PM PDT by

We each have our own style, so list away! We do indeed think alike! I cannot tell folks on here how many times I have called or you have called me and each was thinking about the other!! That is what besites do!

Hey miss bunny is Kim my other listia account was hacked into and they used all my credit even after I reported it to listia. They canceled out my old account and I had to start all over. They would refund my credits that were stolen either. Which I thought was pretty messed up

I didn't qualify for Medicaid either. But this is much more lenient and they give you an answer within 30 days and they go back those 30 days retroactively so I got a check for the meds I paid out of pocket for the time I was waiting for approval. It just may help you Hun. Can't remember if you said you had a Facebook, if so look me up by email queenbrum@gmail.com

Yes it does. Contact social security and ask for their extra help program. My meds went a low copay and after a month of low co
Pays I now pay nothing. Otherwise my meds if I didn't have Medicare and extra help would be around 7899.00 a month and that's not the chemo or the new meds I will soon be on for critically low cortisol. Many don't know about extra care but it's free and easy to apply for. If all you ladies have Facebook we need a listia lady fibro support group. I'd be glad to start one.

I will check into that. I do not qualify for medicaid.
Jun 13th, 2016 at 11:33:22 AM PDT by

I have it as well. Lyrica didn't work. Gabapentin had too many side effects so now I'm on extended release 24 pain meds, meds for muscle spasms, etc. it is horrible. And I would wear with pride.
Jun 12th, 2016 at 6:44:27 PM PDT by
Original
Aww.. it is amazing how many folks deal with this! I am having to use the cheaper pain meds.. even with Medicare it costs too much for any of the extended release meds :(
