Offered is an original early 1900s 7/8" celluloid button, pin or pinback issued by PERFECTION Cigarettes and other early tobacco companies.

The slogan a popular expression of the early 1900s reads: EVERY LITTLE BIT ADDED, MAKES A LITTLE BIT MORE It was a variation of the phrase: "Every little bit added to what you have makes a little bit more."

This pin includes it neat, old, complete and original PERFECTION CIGARETTES backpaper, Factory number and Phelps and Sons Mfg. Co., Newark, NJ as shown.

These pins were issued as advertising tobacco premiums or prizes similar to the early Cracker Jack prizes. This series of slogans complemented the "I'm the Guy that..." pins that were also issued by the tobacco companies.

I acquired a collection of several of these pins with the political pins that I collect and am sharing this and another auction listed with Listians who may enjoy collecting and preserving them.
