Nice auction! I too have SO MUCH JEWELRY!! It had applied for its own collective ss number! Lol, but I usually do a magnet test. If the piece won't cling to magnet it's most likely sterling or plated sterling. F&W!

I love your description, too! lol Thanks for the magnet test tip...I did that and it did not react to the magnet...which I assume is good! lol I was cleaning out my guest room and found a beautiful set just like this one, but it's a bluish purple stone...and it also has a matching bracelet in addition to the necklace and earrings! Peruvian jewelry is usually made with a nickel alloy so anyone with a nickel allergy will have to coat it with nail polish so as not to have a reaction.
