Rainbow Moonstone has a mono-clinic crystal system and is in the mineral class of lattice silicate in the feldspar family. While Moonstone in general occurs in several varying shades and colors, the Rainbow Moonstone is generally white and usually has a blue shimmer. This color effect is due to its inner structure being a laminate which bends light. In this moonstone, it is potassium that provides the shimmering blue color effect. This auction is for 30+ carats of natural Rainbow moonstone that is enhanced to be pink. Rainbow moonstone always is white or clear. This set is perfect for jewelry making, or stone/crystal collecting.

Thank you, much prettier than the pictures. Camera just do not get all the colors good, or take good pics of stones and jewelry. These are absolutely gorgeous when seen in person and very hard to find. The cabochon type stones are great for making rings, earrings, bracelets, and wands. :)

I have a few very large cabs of these moonstones....please tell me they are not drilled through.... xoxoxooxo It gives them such a cheap look with a hole in it. GORGEOUS! And you are so right, the colors are mind blowing! Love em!

I have always liked moonstone and opals, collected them for a long time. I never seen them before with the holes drilled in them. I really like the pink ones and the indigo ones... my favorites.

Sorry but I will not be back until the 15th, so I can not do any Gins until I get back home. I have more like this that I will list when I get back, I have bright blue ones (Indigo) and purple ones also, and some Labradorite as well.
