In the southern United States we call it Monkey Grass, but there are many names for this great flowering yard plant.
Drought and cold tolerant. Takes hold and spread easily. Bunches can be divided to make more.

Does this need full sun or partially shade

I have it in areas that are mostly shade and also in areas that get full western sun. They are such a hearty plant that adapts easily. Personally, I like the color and height they get under filtered sun. Thanks for the interest.
