Description

The listing, ANTIQUE GERMAN SILVER (800) LADIES MESH PURSE has ended.

This lovely antique German sterling silver ladies mesh purse is a delight, and very rare (and expensive!). You would expect to pay between two and five hundred dollars or more for this thing of beauty. It is over 100 years old and has a lot of patina, it's up to you if you want to clean it.
The makeup of the bag is 80% silver and 20% base metal. Regular sterling is.925 or 92.5% silver. That's the difference between regular Sterling andGerman Sterling.
There is a tassel at the bottom where the bag is wgathered together. The bag is 9" long and5" wide with an intact chain with an 8" drop. There is a small tear on the side near the opening. This is an easy fix at the jeweler. The bag weighs 121 grams, but it would be hard to scrap it because most scrap metal places don't take German Sterling.
Now for business. There is no buyers remorse. All Listia rules apply. If the winner does not send me their Listia verified address within seven days, they forfeit their credits and I will re list the item. Happy bidding!

I never said it was from Germany, it is called German silver. Some of them are labeled Germany, however.
