the Rose of Sharon can be grown as a tree or a shrub, depending how you trim it to be. the blossoms are edible, these plants can get 10 feet tall and wide, but take a while to get there. Mine took about 6 years. these are the double ruffle flowers as shown here separate. you may get tri colored or just one color. My seeds got mixed when I moved..
