So if you lay down the leaf it will grow roots?

Yes. After about 10 days the tiny feeder roots develop and will grow into a fully mature plant over time. It's important to not water them too much or they will rot quickly. I like to use a terracotta clay base with about an inch of soil. Mist with a sprayer every other day as they develop.
Hope this helps and thanks for the interest!

Hi. Any idea whether these will survive in KC, zone 5B? i think it gets colder here than it does in Oklahoma. Thanks.

They do well indoors but cannot tolerate outside temps below freezing. Thanks!

Thank you! Is it the same with Mother of a thousand babies? Because I won some here on list a they're buds. Have them for a year and grew half an inch.

Pretty much the same. If yours are over a year, they should ideally be 12-18". Make sure your soil isn't becomming compacted. A good rule of thumb is 2 parts organic soil, 1 part of coarse garden sand, and 1 cup of Perlite, Feel free to tweak it for your needs. This mixture promotes growth, healthy root system.
Hope this makes sense!!!

The ones I got from you are really awesome! The hot and dry weather this year made my job easy! They were added to a larger plant I have. Same with the mini variety. They have both really thrive. I've been moving things inside and when I moved the Jade pot, these 2 pads got bumped off! Lucky some body, right?!!!
P.S. I got my eyes on your 2 Jade auctions already! Make mine even fuller and unique. There's no such thing as too much Jade!
I appreciate you looking!
