The listing, Estate Find Silver Chunky Mesh Necklace with nice fancy clasp has ended.

18 inch long silver flexible mesh type rope flat necklace. The clasp is magnetic with rhinestone/crystals and black tip embellishments. Estate find, this piece almost got thrown away, it had black spotting all over it, however when I put it in silver cleaner they disappeared, so I decided to list it. There are no markings of any kind or anything showing as to who made it. Still a beautiful chunky piece of jewelry.

Thanks... I did not know what to think of the black spots, they were huge and you never know what your going to get at estate sales when they are in boxes... all I can do is try and clean them up and hope for the best... Im glad this cleaned up pretty well... I tried many things and nothing worked except the silver cleaner so its pretty clean now.. :)

I just added two necklaces to the "Estate Find 3 Gorgeous Wide Herringbone Necklaces!!!" auction. You might want to check it out, they are two herringbone, marked 925, one side silver, the other side frosted with three hearts and I love you all the way around it so you can wear it two ways both identical and 18", you might want to check that other auction out :)

From the pictures it looks like silver over copper, but you really cant tell by pictures.

I would think if it were silver over copper part of the silver would come off. Also silver over copper is what they do with in the past 10 years and mostly seen in China which in turn was able by their government to have a 925 marking. This is not marked.
