Description

The listing, Sundew, Drosera intermedia seeds, (10) has ended.

I have up for auction, 10 Carnivorous Sundew, Drosera intermedia seeds. You will get 10 seeds. I do keep all my carnivorous seeds in the refrigerator. This way they stay fresh and ready to be shipped to the winner of this auction.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Good luck.

Cold Stratification is important for the seeds of temperate carnivorous plants after seeding, because the germination of these seeds are blocked without it. You must put the seeds on wet turf, maybe with very fine sand, and two days , leave it in normal room temperature, starting all biological processes. After two day, put it in a plastic bag in the refrigerator at cca 5 degrees of celsuis =41 degrees F. the temp. in your veg. drawer. After cca 6 weeks, you take it from the refrigerator and put it in normal temperature and light. This is for mimicking a winter passing and will start germination in these seeds.
PS, you dont need to put the seeds to refrigerate on the wet turf, the seeds may be packed in a wet paper towel and in a plastic bag, but it is more difficult to transfer the seeds from wet towel to the turf, after 6 weeks in the refrigerator.
It is possible to germinate these seeds without cs, but the results will not be as good and the seeds germination will be very long.

I live in North Texas. Would these take the heat here? Also I have a Greenhouse to house plants during the winter. Are these best grown in pots?

Pots are the only way I do it. They need humidity. Google the care on them. That can tell you more than I can, especially for your area. Hope this helps.
