Description

The listing, "Dancing Dolphins" dress panel to sew has ended.

This is a panel for a cute little girl dress. Adjustable sizes 2,4,6 or 8. Instructions are on the panel. Come with 47 x 44 (yes - double!) skirt design fabric. Skirt is 22 in length, but can be longer for taller girls, hence the doubling. As a bonus, I'll include 3 yards x 44, sky blue lining fabric. It's faded in places, but easy enough to work around. Questions, more pictures? Please ask.

All Listia rules apply.
Non smoking home.
Cat friendly domain.
Sorry, no GIN or lowering days.

Just trying to keep it real.
Thanks for looking.

Where do you find these? I've looked and ask and no one seems to know anything about them.

Not sure which way you meant that....
I find them at Estate sales, yard sales, thrift stores, church sales. Most of it is just being in the right place at the right time. Or....
Panel dresses were really popular decades ago. My mother was a seamstress and use to make them a lot. I'm pretty sure you can still find them around in some fabric stores.

Try ebay. I used to buy these often in the 1990's and early 2000's.

Ebay has them listed a "dress panel" but they also say they're "vintage" Maybe they don't make them anymore?

I've checked at JoAnn's fabrics, and they do carry a few, most are for dolls.

These panels were very popular in the 90s. They were sold at Hancock's and JoAnns.
I worked in a fabric store. They were put out by Daisy Kingdom and Jellybean Junction.
They did an excellent job of place the pattern along the grain properly.
They had them for Easter and Christmas and occasional summer dresses.
The sailor suit was very popular with various collar styles.
