This is a Antique Jewelry box from Berne Indiana 1928, stamped (pictured).
I'm listing as is, If you know me, you know my items are always used & from estate sales or tag sales, however I picked this one up at a local flea market last week.
I'm leaving any kind of cleaning to the winner, it is pretty old therefore I don't know the history, smoke, pets ext.
Its in its original condition, tattered cloth & all.
I'll be adding jewelry & other old items, some may not be vintage but most will be.
I'll add pictures tomorrow from outside (natural light).
All trim pieces & handles in tact. looks to be trimmed across the top with aluminum?
Used to be an oval mirror in the inside center.
Will list all the lettering on the back in the morning.
Being I'll probably be shipping in the MEDIUM FLAT RATE PRIORITY BOX, just leaves room for me to add a surprise or two :)

Took a little trip to hospital overbite.
Feeling much better & Ready to get caught up again.
Got new laptop so can get back to normal listings.

Very cool! I have an old wooden box looks somewhat similar and I couldn't figure out what it was! But the closest old looking box I could find was a something from China, many years ago. Maybe it's this kind? It doesn't have any markings.
Anyway, sorry, went on a ramble just to tell you, great auction!

Its hard to find out history on a lot of items. I'm still learning.
It needs a good cleaning, but being I have no idea how to start, I thought I'd leave it up to the winner to uncover the Beauty. :
I didn't want to try on this one for the fear of ruining it :)
It has a few issues (chip, bottom crack) but sturdy & not falling apart except the lining.

This is a Beautiful Box, I also know you don't need anything on it antique dealer can tell when and where and how old it is, This is definitely on my list to watch & maybe bid if it doesn't get ridiculous in credits which I think it will, this is going to go for LOTS &LOTS OF CREDITS. I know its got the Berne, Indiana March 18th 1928. & the name of a Novelty Co.

It is Nussabaum Novelty Co Berne, Indiana which is my home town. This Company was a booming Company back in that time period. They made several hundred different novelties over the 100 yrs they were in business. They were located in a large warehouse type facility in what is now down town Berne, Indiana . Nice auction!!!!
