Hi, this has never been worn or taken off the straps that hold it to the cardboard holder, there is a tiny tag on the dial that sets the watch, i would guess this activates the watch battery. I really don't want to pull the tag out to see, i would rather the new owner have the privilege of doing that. Thank you for asking.
